We have extensive experience at selling and moving alpacas throughout Europe for many breeders. In the last few years, alpacas have left our farm for France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Finland, Italy, Hungary, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Spain. With a dedicated area for pre-export isolation, Inca Alpaca has the facilities, contacts and experience to export alpacas to any location within Europe. For countries outside the EU where alpacas have not been exported to before, we will work together with our livestock agent to endeavor to obtain import requirements and liaise with the appropriate government body to create an Export Health Certificate.

We have four double fenced paddocks which are DEFRA approved as pre-export isolation facilities. All four paddocks are double fenced and electrified to stop vectors crossing, enabling us to carry out up to four different consignments at one time. All visitors in and out of each facility disinfect their boots and strict biosecurity is in effect across the entire holding.
Now that the UK has left the European Union, exporting is easier than ever and here are some points to highlight:
1. VAT is NO LONGER added to the sale, regardless if the buyer in the EU is registered for VAT or not.
2. The UK has 3rd country status meaning that the same Export Health Requirements and similar certificate is used.
3. Both the seller and the buyer now need to have a customs agent to produce customs documents (UK side) and clear customs at a designated border crossing (buyer). Here is Inca Alpaca, we use James Cargo Services (JCS) as our customs agent.
4. EU exports can be ready for transport in as little as 3 weeks after agreement is made.
