Inca Alpaca are pleased to introduce our new solid true black herd sire Surtierra Shadow.
After 18 months of searching the world for a sire that would bring specific traits to our herd, we finally found and secured this male for our herd here in England. We were specifically looking for a sire who had true black parents that were unrelated to our herd. The male needed to be well grown and he had to have a very dense and fine fleece that was uniform in colour and length. The neck fleece on Suriterra Shadow is long and is just as fine as the saddle fleece.
Suriterra Shadow was the obvious choice for us here at Inca Alpaca, as both parents are such high quality and well bred true black alpacas. The show success that Surtierra Shadow has had are astounding, with the highlights being 1st place Senior Black Huacaya Male at the 2014 AAA National Show and Best Black Huacaya Fleeece at 2013 and 2014 AAA National Show.
Surtierra Shadow will remain in house for the 2016 season. However, with our co-owner Redens Alpacas we have decided to donate one stud service for the BAS National Show Stud Service Auction. To view the auction site where bidding for Suriterra Shadow closes at 8pm tonight pleasee click here.
